Apple’s New iPod Shuffle: Small Gets Smaller
Apparently, the iPod Shuffle wasn’t small enough for Apple. Today, Apple is introducing its next-generation iPod Shuffle, which is almost half the size of the previous model and with double the capacity of 4GB. Apple was able to make it smaller than ever by moving the controls onto the earphone cord. What’s more, is that the new Shuffle has text-to-speech ability to tell you what song, artist or playlist you are playing. Apple calls it VoiceOver.
The price tag? $79. It comes in beautiful silver or black. Talk about cheap thrills and recession beater. Apple has once again proven its ability to reinvent itself even when it already has a successful product on the market. Bravo.

That’s a good point. I don’t think Apple is going to sell a lot of these. Most people already have an iPod or iPods. But hey, it makes a great gift for X’mas! Wait… that’s still 9 months away. Oh well, you can look for people’s birthdays then!
