A couple of weeks ago, we posted about the 3D UI from TAT (the astonishing tribe). Here is another concept UI that they have created that will put your iPhone coolness to shame. Check it out.

These are guys are obviously doing some great work here, and doing some great innovation around the mobile user interface. The physics, responsiveness and the perception of 3D objects in this Foldout UI is both fun and communicative. We are sure these guys have been contracted by various device makers to work on their phone UI.

Although we haven’t seen announcements that these UI’s are tied to any specific platform, but we will bet that Android phones will be getting some of this eye-candy treatment. There is a whole slew of Android-based handsets coming later this year and early next year. And boy, can’t wait to see how Google and Apple will duke it out. A new report claims that Android will outsell the iPhone by 2012.
