Our Thoughts

We think the specs are probably legit. It makes for a reasonable upgrade to the 2nd generation iPhone, and there is no reason for Apple to have a big hardware overhaul at the moment. As we have stated in the past, Apple needs to make sure they maintain their large software ecosystem, and changing things like screen size or resolution would wreak havoc to the developer community.

We are the most excited about the bolded items. Video recording will be great and a boon for YouTube. Too bad it won’t be HD quality (we have come to love the Flip pocketsize camcorder). OLED screen promises a much vibrant and beautiful display. Better battery life is sorely needed as we can’t even turn on auto mail fetch at the moment because it drains the battery too much. Finally, the second last bullet point is similar to Nokia’s point-and-find service. Depending on the implementation, we think it has HUGE potential, as it can act as a bridge from the physical world to the digital world.
