While the rest of the world is busy covering the announcementsskype_3_2_270x404 made by Apple this morning at its Rock’n Roll event, we bring our Canadian readers great news: Skype for iPhone is now available in Canada.

Skype for iPhone allows you to perform PC-to-PC and PC-to-landline calling, but only over WiFi connections. I personally subscribe to Skype’s U.S. and Canada service for only $29.95 per year, and have used Skype for iPhone on several occasions. It generally works well, although it’s a little bit slow at times. I am sure running it on iPhone 3GS will fix the problem.
